Operators with bill Validators (adding bill validator to WPC games) Post #1 in topic

Posted 13 days ago by Skatewake – in Tech: DMD era games ‐ Last reply 13 days ago

Hello to all, I am looking for some help hooking up a bill validator to my Theatre of Magic and Who Dunnit. I have ICT A6-15SCP validators to install. I have the 115 power figured out but the coin pulse wire is what Im having trouble with. I do know there is a thread from the late KenLayton that I was using but it doesn't help me all the way and I was wondering if anyone out there has these in the late WPC or Bally games. Pictures or direction would be appreciated. Thanks,

There are 2 on the ramp - one under the shuttle (the most popular) and the one I believe you need further up the ramp...it's plug/stick & play - simply adheres underneath the ramp anywhere you prefer.... Matt Oh I know! I was almost a beta tester a few years back. I installed 3 on my Who Dunnit center ramp and you included a photo of it with your switches! I’m a big fan of the MRS. I’ve installed them on EATPM, White Water and Ripleys too. I have one for the Shadow too. They work great.

Are there any DMD games you think do NOT look better with a color DMD? Post #52 in topic

Posted 82 days ago by Pinstein – in Tech: DMD era games ‐ Last reply 67 days ago

Who dunnit has some of the best colored animations out there. Even Gilligan looks better with LED and it has nill animations. You have to go LED though. The LCD is dull in comparison and HD only make things worse. Its impossible in TWD to see blood when everything is red.

Tried resoldering wires, adjusting contacts and nothing. I think the diode is bad. Anybody know the diode number? Marco doesn't have any information. Any other suggestions to what the problem may be? Owning the game that got you hooked - how important? Post #39 in topic

Posted 10 months ago by Nintegageo – in All Pinball ‐ Last reply 144 days ago

In 2017 I was going through marketplace and saw WHO Dunnit. The art intrigued me so I went down a pin rabbithole and it rekindled my love of pinball, though I didn't snag it at the time. Got my own WD this year and while I won't say never, I don't have any plans to sell. The game is very unique and I think a good collection should have at least one 'rare' game in it that you don't commonly see in the wild.

Which game got you into the pinball hobby? Post #1 in topic

Posted 12 months ago by Nintegageo – in All Pinball ‐ Last reply 8 months ago

Mine was Who Dunnit? In 2017 I think? I had been browsing arcade machines and stumbled across a WD machine. I played pinball when I was younger, but it was just hitting things and staying alive. I didn't know a pinball machine could be that deep, complicated or goal-oriented. I know it seems laughable by modern standards, but it really intrigued and impressed me. And i have à printer, thats why this method was more acceptable for my finance I'm not familiar with your location, but there's a vendor in the Netherlands if this helps. WD won't boot after being moved Post #1 in topic

Posted 12 months ago by MrWizzo – in Tech: DMD era games ‐ Last reply 12 months ago

Trying to figure out a problem with a 95 Who Dunnit. Shopped it for a friend, played perfectly afterward, needed to remove the head to get it in the space he wanted, documented with photos all connector positions, double checked them after reassembly, but game won't boot. D19 stays solid and D20 doesn't flash. Line voltage is good at 123V. I plan to reseat U4, U6 and U9 on the CPU. Will try removing all cables but J210 to see if it boots and check the the voltage at TP 2. Any thoughts? Thanks.
